13 AMD 7040 Appears to Lose Partitions?

Hey all,

I have now had two separate 13s with AMD 7040 processors, all on BIOS 3.05, which have lost all partitions following ̶a̶n̶ ̶u̶n̶s̶p̶e̶c̶i̶f̶i̶e̶d̶ ̶W̶i̶n̶d̶o̶w̶s̶ ̶u̶p̶d̶a̶t̶e̶ blue screen (updated after getting the full story from the user) (Win11 24H2). The machine was working fine, both have Crucial 1TB P3 Plus (edited) drives and 32GB of RAM, and upon reboot from the update the partition tables are just gone. Neither the BIOS sees them nor the Windows installer.

The drive is still seen in the BIOS, btw, and the last time I ended up just reinstalling Windows and it worked fine like that for months (til another crash later on).

On the last one I spun up a recovery disk and it was able to see the partitions but it’s like the file allocation table was gone or something. Now that it’s happened twice on two separate computers, I know this is an issue peculiar to some component here, and I don’t think it’s the SSDs (they don’t have firmware updates available at this time and were all from the same batch).

Has anyone encountered this problem before? Thanks.
