Just wondering if the 13 Pro uses a heavier hinge than the standard 3.5kg hinge? The specs page just says “new hinge” with improved design but doesn’t list the weight. Judging from the video reviews on YouTube, the hinge looks pretty wobbly. Has anyone with a 13pro yet messed with adding the 4kg hinge? Just curious about the hinge overall.
I have the 4kg hinges in my old 13. I put them in at the end of 2025, so not brand new anymore.
In direct non-scientific comparison, the pro hinges feel a bit stiffer (at least brand new). I don’t see too much wobblyness and the screen does not move when tilting the laptop.
