Hey there, I saw that there’s a new fan available on the marketplace, I can choose between 1st and 2nd gen. Are they both compatible with both motherboard generations, and is there a significant improvement in cooling efficiency / noise? Thanks! ---

They’re not compatible, the old fan is for the old mainboards only and the new fan ~~is for the new ones~~ seems to work for both. ---

Fan (2nd Gen) is compatible with all Framework Laptop 12 - included with Mainboard (Intel® Core™ Series 3).
