Had decided to buy a new 7840U based framework 13 and was waiting for my next pay, which was today. Went to order it and found that the 7840U was out of stock. Is that temporary or was framework getting rid of old stock and now there will only be the new AI models? Really hoping for the first 'cause I’m not impressed with the current gen’s price-to-performance. ---

@KonstantinP this is for you too Have you considered refurbished if you’re in Canada or the US? [Refurbished AMD 7040 Framework 13](https://frame.work/products/refurbished-framework-laptop-13-diy-edition-amd-ryzen-7040-series?v=FRANDG0007R) Originally I wanted to get the 2.8K screen and 7840u combo but I also procrastinated too long ☹ Refurbs don’t really have much config choices, but just wanted to let you know about this option if you don’t mind the 2.8K screen option not being available. You could also see if anyone is selling theirs on your local used item market, or r/frameworkmarket and r/hardwareswap . ---

Hey there, I checked this with our internal teams! The 7640U configurations are still in production and one of the configs is only temporarily out of stock. The 7840U configurations have **a limited amount of remaining inventory** that **will be** coming into stock, but otherwise production is complete. ---

I did not feel comfortable waiting for the hi-res screen and getting stuck with the 300 series. No thanks on those efficiency cores, I need all 8. But I did upgrade the webcam to Gen2. ---

@Destroya will there be any update somewhere when the last units are gone? I am especially interested in the 7840 with the 2.8k screen and will keep looking. But it would be nice to know if I am doing this for nothing ---

Sorry to bother you but, I saw that other users mentioned they came back in stock and then out of stock again, even though I checked 2-3 times a day. Could you please confirm that this was the last of the stock or if more will be coming? Lastly, if there is more stock, could Framework offer a prepayment/preorder to ensure we get one? I would really hate it if I were to end without one after all this. Thank you and sorry for the bother. ---
