AirPod audio garbled

My issue:

I have a pair of 2nd generation Apple AirPod Pros. They connect to my Framework via Bluetooth very quickly and consistently. But they often have garbled audio. The audio isn’t completely unintelligible but it is very choppy and sounds digitally distorted. Has anyone else experienced this?

If I restart my machine and reconnect again, that sometimes solves the issue.

Under Sound settings, check that you are using the “Headphones - Airpods” audio option instead of “Handsfree - Airpods”.

Oh interesting! Yeah I think that did it. Just curious: what’s the difference between the two?

Handsfree is for bluetooth voice calls (mono), whereas headphones is for stereo sound/music. Glad that worked for you :slightly_smiling_face:
