Plasma mobile is looking a lot better by the day! I’ve been very curious of this too and other alternative mobile OSes like Ubuntu touch (UBPorts). I still like Sailfish OS’s gesture centric UI (which iOS and Android began to move towards years later). Also, their Android App Support help bridge the app gap. We do need something that isn’t based on Android though as Google still has such huge leverage over the project. As such I don’t consider Graphene OS a true third alternative.
Plasma mobile looks very much like Android in those screenshots, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s certainly more familiar than, say, Sailfish OS’s Silica (think they’re due a new UI update there). Perhaps I’d go away with the navigation buttons though. Does it have some kind of a gesture-based alternative to navigation buttons at the bottom?
