From the looks, once your card got charged, shipping is next day.
Only thing is, don’t get your hopes up for Fedex’s ETA date. Add a couple of days to manage the expectations.

This should be the case, but you may not get shipping email immediately. They won’t send the shipping email until it clears Customs in Taiwan and is in actual route to the destination country.
Ugh, I have the dreaded ‘Clearance Delay’ in customs in Anchorage, AK. This could be a longer wait than expected, but I suppose I’m used to it by now. Contacted support, and they are on it - super responsive.
Got mine today after a couple of days of delay.
The fun can finally begin.

Congrats! I am jealous already. Did yours get hung up in customs delay as well? Are you in the US?
Just got an email about shipping backlog that might affect my order explaining that shipping is the bottleneck and they are working on increasing their shipping capacity. Oh well. I guess I’m happy that this are the problems Framework is having (too much demand :D)

Got the email as well. And I had heard somewhere that demand for the Framework laptop was lower than expected, I was hoping then the backlog would clear up and I would be getting mine sooner than later.
But, like you said, it is a good thing that they are in demand. Means more likely they will be around longer and more likely third party developers for extras will get involved with new accessories and such.

It doesn’t necessarily mean there is a high demand, it could also mean that there aren’t working enough people.
That said, I expected to not get mine in September and everything before mid Dezember is fine for me.

Yes and yes, that is why I said add a couple of days on the ETA from Fedex. One day for the customs, another day for, well, Fedex.

Got it, thanks! Makes me feel a bit better. Mine is still in customs delay for the third day. 
Fedex has a tentative delivery date for Monday but I’m doubting that will be the case.

I can’t be the only one disappointed to get a similar email. I am very excited about the company and its mission, and I’m especially excited for the upgrade in performance in my computing abilities. That said, I am running a business. Recognizing that delays happen, the uncertainty is hard to deal with, especially when it comes to business assets that are (nearly) fungible.

I completely understand and I’m sure some people are greatly disappointed. Every case is different. Myself when I was ordering and seen “shipping in September” was thinking “chances are there are going to be delays and I’ll hopefully get it in November”.

You are not alone in this situation, since 2020, anything I order today is taking more time than expected to get, from my Tesla to this Laptop.
What a world when we are all accustomed to use amazon prime to deliver in 24h 
Anyway, transparency is enough for me.

Anyone else having trouble to see the tracking in Fedex app?
Just got my Tracking email this morning. Arrived in Anchorage Alaska today from Taiwan. The anticipation is killing me.

Anyone who got step 5 today is much sad because the skid with all the orders missed the plane and won’t fly out until tomorrow.
That includes me. I am much sad. But it has tracking now so yay
