Batch 9 Guild

Guys, that really sucks, I’m sorry :frowning:

@Daniel_Agorander yes, some batch 10 orders have already shipped.

Maybe the special packaging is for >= 6 modules, then? I ordered 8.

I guess it’s a moot point, though, since apparently there will be no shipping at all until the 6th, and by then they’ll have the packaging

It is a bit of a “naawh” for me, because I already have my SSD, but it sort of works out for me. Then I’ll expect to take delivery around the 14th or 15th, ish. Which is ahead of a long weekend. And slots in fairly well with this: FreeBSD 13.1 Release Process | The FreeBSD Project

Long weekend while investigating how solidly the iwlwifi driver has implemented support for the AX210 on that OS will probably be a good thing. :stuck_out_tongue:

(Yes, I realise I’m grasping for silver linings as a coping mechanism… :stuck_out_tongue: )

That’s not a bad thing :+1:

I had the (IMHO reasonable) expectation that two identical orders (same destination region & same configuration) are processed in the same order as they are placed.

But looking at the posts here, I get the feeling there are other, unknown factors involved.

Regards,

Robert

Could be a case of urban legend, or a previous version of the packaging, as well. Reviewing some “unboxings” on youtube it seems like there’s a grouping of compartments for the expansion cards, thickness seems to allow two per field, and the group is a 2x2.

Or maybe there’s different provisions for storing expansion cards between the packaging for the DIY and “normal” versions.

I have neither recieved a stage 5 e-mail, nor have i recieved a delay e-mail… does someone know what i could be expecting?

(i7, 6 modules - Netherlands)

Edit: nervermind… I too am delayed

Regardless of unexpected Covid impacts, it does seem a somewhat awkward choice to collect the full balance due on a product right before notifying me that the product will not be shipped for at least a week after the end of the shipment window.

At least, as does seem to often be the case with Framework, the email does actually address the problem honestly and with enough detail to make the delay more understandable.

Edit: Somewhat confusingly, within 10 minutes of writing this comment, and a little over 12 hours after receiving the delay email, I received a shipment notification. So I’m not sure whether something has changed, the delay email was sent out too widely, or they are generating tracking numbers while waiting for packing material.

Shipped :netherlands:

What is the average delivery time to Europe? Or to be specific The Netherlands, anyone experience?

(i7-1165G7, 16GB RAM, 512GB Storage, English Int keyboard, 3 USB-C, 1 HDMI) ordered on 17th of March.

@Cheese.With.Clogs I also ordered a i7 to The Netherlands. Just got my stage 5 email. Maybe you get yours today or tomorrow.

Mine was sent the 30th to germany and DHL expects to deliver the 4th so about 6 days for me if they can make it happen.

I think others had similar shipping times so as long as customs does interfere too much, it should be quick.

@Tarick_Welling Thanks for the info, so I should expect it next week.

Yours is send with DHL? I only got a “Hub Ez” tracking link. I wonder who does the dutch shipping.

At some point the shipment will be handed over to DHL. Hub Ez will show you the DHL tracking number which you can use on DHL’s shipment tracker.

Seeing this thread now, it seems like I’ve just been lucky with my shipment. My shipment started three days ago and it has gone from Taipei to Singapore to Bahrain where it’s currently still at (EDIT: read it wrong, apparently it already left Bahrain). DHL says that they expect it to be delivered to my home on April 4th, but maybe I’ll get lucky again and it will be here before the weekend ;)

Mine shipped yesterday. Today it’s in Singapore and I got a text from DHL to say they expect to deliver it on the 4th (in the Netherlands).

Hah, that’s what they said yesterday. Today they changed it to April 1st 10pm, shipment is currently in Bahrain. They are playing with my feelings there.

I finally got mine yesterday!
The order so far has been:

  • Step 2: 2022.03.07
  • Step 3: 2022.03.22
  • Step 4: 2022.03.24
  • Step 5: 2022.03.25
  • Delivered: 2022.03.30

Very happy with the overall feel and finish of the notebook. The size is perfect and it is even lighter than expected. The keyboard is also awesome.

Unfortunately, one of the memory slots seems to be defect, though. When I try to boot with both sticks or a single stick in slot 0, the system won’t boot and blink the RAM error code. Both memory modules work in slot 1, though.
Already contacted support and got asked to do a BIOS update (already up to date) and a full power-off and reset (disconnect battery and remove CMOS battery). That didn’t help, though.

Now I’m looking forward to what the support will figure out. So far they’ve always come back to me within a day.

That’s tomorrow! :exclamation::exclamation::exclamation:

I got my Stage 5 now too. Let’s see if it’s an April fool’s joke…

I could see this being that the unit is as ready as can be, but still having to wait for that packaging material and festival etc. Tracking info is just Order Printed/UnPickup, after all.

This is true, but I can imagine that there might have been a chance that the packaging material was in sooner, and they’d have a chance to get some or even all out before the holiday. Then it seems good to charge already even when it was likely that there would be a delay, certainly better than making the delay certain by charging later…

I also received that. Maybe the packaging was delivered (was expected today) and they prepared the shipment for pickup already, to be picked up at the 6th I presume?

Mine arrived today. Love it. Despite it being DIY, it came fully assembled besides nvme, ram and adapt0rs. Everything seems to work as it should, but this was by far the jankiest Windows 10 install in a loooong time

Thanks for a nice piece of hardware!
