Batch 9 Guild

My laptop finally arrived today!! I thought I would at least have to wait until tomorrow but here it is already! I really want to play with it, but I’m working from home today so I’ll have to wait…

To recap, this is my configuration:

  • DIY Edition
  • Intel Core i5-1135G7
  • 1TB SN850 NVMe
  • 16GB (1x16) RAM
  • English intl. Keyboard
  • Black Bezel
  • EU Power Adapter
  • Expansion cards: 1x DP; 1x HDMI; 1x Micro-SD; 2x USB-A; 2x USB-C

The dates for the stages for my order were as follows:

  1. Order placed - 22 February
  2. Preparing batch - Never received
  3. Preparing shipment - 23 March
  4. Payment complete - 24 March (failed once because of iDeal, could redo payment immediately afterwards)
  5. Order shipped - 28 March
  6. Order received - 1 April
I placed my order in The Netherlands.

I’ve attached some pictures below of how I received my order, it’s all looking good!

It was good speaking to y’all over here. I hope you enjoy your laptops and for those who are still waiting for their orders, the best of luck!

@BoredStudent Thanks my shipment date (to the UK) was the same so maybe mine will show up over the weekend!

@mitspieler Yes the original DIY edition also had the wireless card to be fitted which is a fiddly job and probably had a high error rate so Framework seem to have decided to do that for us!

I read that people also had to mount the display, or was that related to the wifi card?

OMG! I just received my shipping email. It’s coming from Taipei/Taiwan. Let’s see how long it will take.

my Order already moved over SINGAPORE to BAHRAIN and left it

Mine too! I guess they’re together

Hah! I see you are a man of culture: you picked the exact same set of expansion ports as I did.

…Now I just need to wait for delivery. And to make things even more fun, as of today my window where I might suddenly be able to buy a Steam Deck has opened. So I have quite a few reasons to F5 things. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, there we go - accidental F5 on the tracking page shows scanned, bagged and processed for export in Taipei.

So… I guess I’ll have it next week! (And guess they maybe sorted out the packaging thing? Or oversent it…)

( DIY i7-1165G7, 2x16GB sticks, no SSD, 7 expansion cards, shipping to NL.)

Only item remaining is to see whether I killed off the SSD I have bought through zapping it with static after having petted the cat… Oops… :stuck_out_tongue:

So… The DHL tracking link says my laptop has just departed their facility in Amsterdam, half an hour from my house, but the expected delivery time is still Tuesday evening… I wonder where its going?

@FlyingFox.of.theYard Probably it’s a big shipment with a lot of parcels and they don’t work in the weekend. So I think they take Monday to process the parcels and deliver them on Tuesday.

DHL delivers Monday to Friday, so could be after all that you will get yours on Monday.

Wanneer komt de koerier langs? | DHL Parcel

Except it says it was already processed this morning. And the delivery times they predict don’t match up with those in the FAQ link you’re referring to (they say business addresses during office hours, home addresses in the evenings).

And anyway, none of this explains where it’s going if it’s already left Amsterdam but is not out for delivery (AFAIK deliveries to my part of the country come from the Amsterdam depot). It’s all very perplexing.

EDIT: The FW shipments are being handled by DHL Express, which has different operating days/hours the the normal DHL service.

I never got an expected delivery date, but from the moment I saw this message in tracking the package was delivered in half a day.

That being said, “departed the sorting facility” does not equal an “out for delivery” update, that will be a different one. I was confused by this as well, but I guess the sorting facility is in another place than the delivery facility? Or it’s just processed that way.

@FlyingFox.of.theYard Mine was sent before yours and it’s still ‘In Transit’ from Taipei. :smiling_face_with_tear:

Where are you, UK?

I notice that both HubEZ and Linex don’t show any updates on my order once it was handed over to DHL in Singapore. DHL is handling it all the rest of the way (I’m in the Netherlands), and their tracking system has been working perfectly so far.

Have you not had any message from whichever carrier is making the delivery?

Anyway, I notice you said it shipped 5 days ago, and most deliveries seem to take 5-7 days, so hopefully you’ll get it immediately after the weekend :crossed_fingers:

Yeah, in the UK.

I’m spamming HubEz’s and DPD’s (local carrier) tracking. Neither are showing any updates. No message as of yet, but as you say, it’s not exactly late.

I hope so!

Hm, but the tracking page now shows:

So I guess they managed to ship it before this holiday after all? Would be nice, except that now I have a bit more hurry in ordering the SSD I wanted

My tracking indicates it’s currently in Germany.

Ordered to NL as well.

My Framework arrived two days ago. Quick assembled and now it is running with Fedora 35. Love it!

I am also from the UK. HubZ and DPD (local couriers who are normally very good) both show last movement on 29 March. DPD via chat in their app told me they had the parcel but wouldn’t tell me where it is or give a delivery estimate. This is not good as I want to be in when they deliver it,
