I do have Arch Linux installed, but this is clearly not a Linux related issue (last time I got moved to the Linux section for an issue that was clearly not Linux related.)
According to cat /sys/class/power_supply/BAT1/cycle_count my battery has 115 cycles on it and according to acpi -V it’s already lost 15% capacity (now at 85%) I calibrated the battery before running both commands and am quite surprised by these numbers given that according to the store page, both the 55Wh and the 61Wh batteries are supposed to retain 80% capacity after 1,000 cycles, but my battery is already 3/4 of the way to the capacity it should have after 1,000 cycles.
Various users had questioned / quoted that bit of statistics / marketing in the past… Framework mentioned “up to”…kind of like a best case lab condition thing. It’s not clear how much of a best case this is…like 1 in 20 or 1 in 1,000,000 cases. There’s no detail how this stat was derived.
Battery / power related matters with Framework Laptops have been somewhat of an on-going thing.
