I see there are a couple of projects started for custom fan curves:

Question: I see that your default configuration has a minimum speed of “15” - does setting this value to “0” actually properly turn the fan completely off without causing other issues? (e.g. the fan not getting stuck in the “0” speed state when under load when the script is configured that the fan should turn back on at higher temps) Also, with Ubuntu 22.04 (not a typo) imminent, do you think you could quickly test it with the beta? I’ve also started a project with an easy to use UI to control the fan curve, max TDP and battery charge limit called fw-helper.

There is AI code, so please check if you’re OK with that before opening. It pretty much works on the Intel FW 13 Pro:

• Battery limit works (down to 60%)
• Fan curves work and can be saved with profiles
• TDP limit works down to 8w
• Max TDP set of 25w allows 32w sustained
