My Laptop is due to ship in July, but since I will be abroad at that time I will most likely only be able to unpack it in October. Will that be a problem for the battery, since I won’t be able to charge it for quite a while after receiving it?
If so I might try to reorder later in order to get a later batch.
We should be in-stock by then, so you should have no problem waiting until October to order.
And for Germany prices also shouldn’t change I assume?!
I might cancel the preorder then.
Battery is arrived disconnected. You’ll need to charge once for the battery to connect i.e using the mainboard’s power to power up the battery.
I know, but what if it’s sitting around at my parents until October when I get back. Will that be a problem?
Can you not let it deliver at your parent’s house?
Either are ok a disconnected battery won’t discharge over half a year. If you want to make sure you can cancel and order after October
You might also want to consider the 2-3 months of warranty period that will be wasted between July and October while the laptop is sitting in its box doing nothing
I would suggest waiting to order until you can receive it. If it is damaged in shipping or something, you will be well past the return window before you even set eyes on it. As mentioned, you will also be a couple months into the warranty period before even getting to use it.
