Hello, Community!
I just want to say I’ve loved this device since I received it in September 2025. It was immediately the best computer purchase I’ve ever made (and I’ve been buying computers and components since 1997). Just the right size, flexible configurations, runs everything I need in Ubuntu Studio docked with a nice big display. This has been my go-with-me for months. Perfect companion.
So when I dropped it from about three feet onto concrete, I thought my heart would shatter. But I was immediately surprised that the laptop didn’t. Any other should have by rights been scattered all over the street. This guy held on.
Except for the display. I can hardly believe it, but the only damage was a crack in the screen. Unfortunately, because of the touch component, the inputs went haywire and the device was unusable.
But replacing the screen was easy! It got here quick. I spent maybe 45 minutes replacing it, and we’re good as new! No other damage to the system.
I just wanted to share that. The durability is real. The repairability is real. This thing is for real.
