# Bottom right touchpad double clicking

So I had to get my Input cover replaced because my N and B key stopped working (same issues some other users had on here too). They sent me a new input cover. Keys worked fine thankfully. But I instantly noticed my touchpad wasn’t centered properly. Right side was rubbing. I fixed that by recentering it constantly. Took me like 30-45 minutes, because it feels like even 0,2mm off and its not working already. Then I finally got it to work. Everywhere I click now sounds and feels about the same like my old input cover touchpad did.

BUT: for some reason as soon as I click in the lower right half of my touchpad it always registers as a double click. Ive recentered it MANY times now ive been at it for like 2-3 hours already.

I know I should just make a support ticket but I already went back and forth with 12 Emails in my old ticket to get my old bottom cover and input cover replaced. Instead of “bothering” them again I thought, maybe try and ask here.

Before you post other threads of people having this similar issue, I’ve read through all and done exactly what they did (even some FW13 tutorials just incase its the same issue somehow). What these people felt was it physically double pressing or rubbing which I dont have (anymore), for me it just that it registers as a double click.

Its my first time trying Windows 11 btw on FW12 previously I had run all sorts of linux distros. But I doubt its a software thing because then Im sure other people would have noticed this on win11 already before me.

Any ideas? Before I give up and submit a ticket again.. 🥲

**EDIT** : I found it… its a setting on windows 11. (_Settings \> Bluetooth & devices \> Touchpad \> Open Dropdown for “Taps”)_ **.** I thought “no way I am this dumb”, but turns out supposedly this feature was added relatively recent in a 2026 win11 build [Changelog march 30th 2026](https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2026/03/30/announcing-windows-11-insider-preview-build-26300-8142-dev-channel/). I havent used win11 for a while thats why I did not know about this feature even existing. And yes ive asked LLMs they did not point this out until I was like “Make sure there is not a single win11 feature that could intefere with this”.
