Hi there,
I have used the FW13 for a couple of years, but since I have my Ryzen AI 7 350 I do have a little issue. I don’t care too much as I’ve figured out a workaround, that works for me, but I still continue to be curious why that is.
So, I have a 4k 120Hz HDR Screen (LG C3), that I have connected to my FW13. I would like to use 4k 120Hz with HDR, but that won’t work. I can get the 4k 120Hz, but not with HDR. The Display is connected via DP. But since the screen does not support DP, I have to use an adapter from HDMI to DP. Now you say, that this is likely to be the issue. Fair enough! However, it works on other systems without any issues with the exact same cable, adapter and screen. The DP expansion card is the 2nd gen and when I look at my FW13 opened up, I use the top right slot. What works is 4k 100Hz with HDR.
This still might be a dumb question and maybe the adapter is the issue. But maybe it’s not, just curious! I have absolutely no clue about display technology, just the basics. So would really appreciate any explanation on this.
FYI: I had this issue with both Windows 11 and Fedora 43/44. I am currently on the latest Fedora 44.
Thanks!
