I am not sure it if helps, but on a FW16, CTRL - two finger scroll works for zoom on Firefox but not Chrome.
I don’t have “brave”, but it looks like a browser application specific problem.
Thank you, yes seems to be a Chromium issue with touchpads.
I just use “CTRL +” or “CTRL -” for zoom. It works on both browsers.
In Chrome I zoom in by “spreading” two fingers on the touch-pad like you would on a cell phone screen to zoom in on an image. Have you tried that?
Yes, that works but it is a different kind of zoom that magnifies. The browser zoom keeps all the text in place but just increases the font size.
I appreciate the suggestion, though.
