Chaning mobo in a 12th Gern FW13 - simply as it seems? you can just change the part?

I’d like to check something, before I spend a chunk of change -

I have 12th FW13, Intel mobo.

Can I simply buy a new mobo (thinking the AI 5 340) and replace the existing mobo?

Can anyone tell me how Linux might respond to this being done? I’m running Debian, I expect it to detect hardware on boot and not care, but be good to get confirmation.

Check your RAM and wifi card. Make sure they are compatible.

Thank you very much.

Can DDR4 be used with the AI 5 340 mobo? the part description says DDR5-5600, but my guess is it has compatibility with DDR4?

No, you need DDR5.

Also, there are some wifi cards which are intel only.

Well, bugger. I have 64 GB DDR4, and with memory prices as they are, was looking to keep using them.
