# Chassis upgrade option but without changing the screen

I love everything about the new chassis, but realistically, all I really would want is the new battery, chassis, and touchpad, don’t really care for the new screen because I don’t like touching my screen.

Would love to see an option for that or at least some way to get these parts separately.

Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. It looks like the [Bottom Cover Upgrade Kit](https://frame.work/products/laptop13pro-bottom-cover-upgrade-kit-us) is exactly what you’re looking for.

But… It seems to be available in silver only, any idea why?

If you bought a black bottom cover upgrade for your silver system, you would have a mismatch. Perhaps they figure that nobody would want that. Or perhaps it will be available in both colors once it’s actually available; in the US at least, it’s just a “register your interest” page.
