Which BIOS version are you using? 04.02

Which Framework Laptop 16 model are you using? (AMD Ryzen™ 7040 Series)

My Rexton hearing aids support ASHA and Bluetooth LE. I cannot connect by either. I suspect the problem is related to the log entry reading:

Bluetooth: hci0: HCI Enhanced Setup Synchronous Connection command is advertised, but not supported.

I have the standard Framework network card which uses a Mediatek Bluetooth controller.

From what I’ve found, I believe:

  1. The message means that the controller supports a continuous connection but the Bluetooth driver does not.
  2. My hearing aids require a continuous connection.

Any advice would be deeply appreciated. Thank you so much for your consideration.

Best holiday wishes to all.

Fellow Framework and HE user,

I haven’t noticed Framework replying to any hearing aid-related questions here on the user boards. There are a few of us, and you may have luck yet, but at six days it feels like long odds.

I’d open a ticket with support, if you haven’t already.

For your actual question, my HE, my laptop, and my wifi card are all different from yours so I can’t really offer anything there. I have no problem doing normal BT5 audio streaming to my HEs (Phonak something-or-other), but I don’t actually use that much.

I would love to know if there’s any way to enable Auracast on my 12th gen intel board, which is a support ticket I’ve been meaning to open. I dug into it a little at one point, and it looked like most of the parts were there, but something as missing in firmware or something like that.

Good luck!

@anyone looking for a response from Framework support staff, regarding anything, Framework has explicitly stated that the forum is not a means to make direct support requests.

Yep, use the “Submit support request” link, found on their support page (frame.work/support).

While, of course, Framework staff does sometimes post here, and occasionally answer questions, this is primarily a community user forum.
