dGPU for frame generation?

Apologies if it’s a silly question but would a PCIe 4.0 x4 dGPU like the RX 6400 (with a suitable riser and in a third party case) be able to act as a dedicated frame generation card for the Framework Desktop using something like Lossless Scaling or AMD FMF?

I think it’s a legitimate question! After all, if Loseless Scaling can take advantage of a GPU that’s max bandwidth is already limited to the max the PCIE slot can provide, why can’t it generate frames for the much faster 8060S?

The only real pitfall (aside from case space) I can see is that the RX 6400 has a power consumption of 55W. Framework says the slot will shut down with a wattage draw exceeding 25W, so the only way to know for sure is to test. If it does turn off, maybe we could add a shim or similar to feed directly off the PSU’s 12V rail to power it.
