# Discussion: Does the reveal of the 13 Pro open the door for more case options in the future?

With the 13 Pro being, I think, the first time we’ve seen an official separate shell for an existing board (other than the server cases), I keep thinking about how they could potentially expand into a whole line of different cases for different needs. Of course, I know most specializations could be accomplished by individuals making custom cases and peripherals, but getting them as official kits would be a game-changer imo.

For example, I think my ideal framework would be a 13 with a design similar to the Surface Pro, with the internals attached to the touchscreen and a keyboard that can be separated. In addition, I’ve seen a ton of people online attempting dedicated gaming shells for the Framework similar to the Steam Deck.

So I wanted to ask the community, do you have any ideas for different/specialized cases you want to see in the future? Do you think this is something they’ll go for as they continue to grow?
