# Driver Bundle installer hangs 'Installing Fingerprint Driver'

I’m currently having issues with my FW13. I’m now following recommendations to reinstall the driver bundle, but what happened to me on my last attempt happens again:

The driver bundle installer keeps going until the step ‘(6 of 8) Installing Fingerprint Driver’ - and stops there. It’s now sitting there for almost 2h. I remember last time this happened I cancelled the installer with ctrl+C and just kept what I had (which I’ll do now too).

Has anyone else had this issue?

The reason I tried reinstalling the drivers was that I had consistent issius with the laptop failing to reboot, and applications and the taskbar freezing/not responding.

I also read that all this could be caused by the new Windows update 24H2 in conjunction with driver issues from AMD. So I installed the newest AMD Adrenaline software, and it appears that the issues are gone now (successully rebooted the laptop a couple of times, experienced no more freezes).

So even though I didn’t try to reinstall the driverpack, I guess the issue can be seen as resolved.

What I’m still wondering though is if reinstalling the driver pack is even advisable - or would it overwrite the drivers installed via the AMD Adrenaline software with oder versions that don’t work with 24H2?
