When I right click to run Framework_Laptop_13_AMD_Ryzen_7040_driver_bundle_W11_v2.08_2026_06_01 as an Admin, I get a terminal window which tells me this needs to be run as an administrator. NOTE: I am in the single account on this device and I’ve right clicked this software to run it as an admin.

It’s been a goodly while since I used Windows, but in general your normal user account is not run normally with admin privileges. However, it should allow you to temporarily elevate your privileges.
For when you right-click and run the executable as admin, would you show a screenshot here? It might also be worth clicking around in your Windows user accounts, in case the admin feature needs to be enabled.
Ah, another thing to try. Assuming this package is an .exe, can you open the DOS prompt with admin rights, then run the exe from there?
Can’t you just say yes?
If not then something seems to be broken in your Windows installation, or you are not really an administrator at all.
