Looking for a BOM for tbe’s dual USB-C expansion card (for JLCPCB assembly)

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to order fully assembled versions of tbe’s dual USB-C expansion card from JLCPCB, but there is no Bill of Materials (BOM) in the GitHub repository.

I have the Centroid/Pick & Place file, but JLCPCB requires a proper BOM with part numbers to do the assembly.

Does anyone have a working BOM for this design that I can upload? Or is anyone willing to help generate one from the KiCad files?

I can’t assemble the boards myself (no SMD experience), so I’m looking for a ready-to-use BOM so I can order pre-built cards.

Thanks a lot!

We are going to release our files in a few months after our crowdfunding campaign finish, by the way I’m going to post some photos very soon of our latest prototype batch.

That button is just for resetting the power while be debug it, the production version may not have it.

Understood. Thank you. Would there be any reason for a production version to need resetting?

I’d talk more about all the tomfoolery above, but don’t want to derail this already very long thread.

A production version should not need manual resetting at all or at least not often enough that you can’t just unplug it.

Yup, this is only used for our debugging

This is awesome. Lets hope the price isn’t unobtanium like that dock.

We are doing our best, but is hard to keep prices low for very low production volume. If we have to calculate our hourly net profit (we are just two persons doing all, since December last year) after selling 300 units at the prices we mentioned earlier, we may get about 5 USD per hour

That’s always the problem. As an end user it seems expensive for the materials and assembly, but the hours upon hours that go into development just need to be paid.

I am sure that that is a tough balance.
