Easy way to rebind Function key basic functions?

I often use the F2 key to rename files. So I fatfinger the F1 key on a regular basis b/c ofc. Which then opens up the Edge browser search/help/“hey, try using bing!” default Windows 11 thing.

I know there’s a .bat file workaround but I’d rather not have to do that after every Windows update (I assume, which may be wrong), and it just seems contrived.

Was hoping there was an easier way to do it. I found Reddit - The heart of the internet which says use https://keyboard.frame.work/ but that doesn’t work for me in either Edge or Firefox. Gives me a USB detection error using Firefox and a non-functional “Authorize Device” button in Edge.

Help?

https://keyboard.frame.work/ only works for the Framework 16.

I use autohotkey on windows for changing f key functionality. It’s a bit of a rabbit hole, but some very powerful software.
