I made a new “discovery” regarding battery usage last week. A cold snap here had me browsing the internet etc. in a part of the house I don’t normally hang in while using the laptop. It’s actually within about 10 feet of my WiFi router, 90+% signal strength there, vs. currently 54% at my usual perch (2.4 GHz band). The battery lasted significantly longer in that spot - about 2 days of browsing before I powered the charger, instead of less than 1 day in my normal spot. I’m usually on line ~5 hours daily. Makes me think the laptop wifi signal requires a relative power boost - provided by the battery of course - in my usual perch, when compared to my spot near the fireplace. Made sense when I thought about it.
