FWD is very versatile. Want to be able to switch out storage easily, and preferably without wearing out internal connectors like the m.2 slot. Bonus for avoiding wearing out the nvme disks conntectors as well. Windows is one of these OSes so usb storage would either not work or be a hassle. What other options are there?
Was looking at this from another thread M.2 NVMe SSD to PCIe x4 Mobile Rack/Backplane with Removable Tray for PCI Express Expansion Slot, To Has anyone tried it? I have a dremel and I’m not afraid to use it, but would like to know if it actually fits first.
Another option was windows on the internal, and all the nixes booted off usb. But something done from another os could then screw up windows.
