This is more of a bug than a feature request. This happened to me last night and I haven’t been able to reproduce. There weren’t any temperature issues or runaway processes, RAM usage was fine. When I restarted, even the BIOS RAM test was going extremely slow, which was a bigger clue as to what was happening. After doing a full shutdown it was full speed when it booted up. I’m not sure if it’s a stuck thermistor that is throttling the CPU or what.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks for the info! I have 3.07 installed. I’m using the charger from my previous chromebook. I had left it in a spot in our living room where it would’ve gotten fairly warm from our woodstove, so that was probably it. That thread is full of great info, thanks!
