Failing to install Windows 11

I swapped out the wifi card and couldn’t boot Windows anymore. I downloaded W11 and it doesn’t recognize the driver bundle when I choose Wimboot. Booting in normal mode gives a 0xc000000f or 0x000014c error. I extracted the driver bundle and found the SD expansion card .exe which W10 is able to use to install with. W11 still says that there is a media driver your computer needs though when I pick it.

W10 can’t connect to the internet using the ethernet module though even after installing the driver bundle with W10 installed and rebooting.

What can I do?

I can still try repairing the existing drive boot files, I backed up what I needed to.

Please create install media using either the official Microsoft Media Creation tool or Rufus. Ventoy produces unusual issues (including Windows Setup being unable to detect the SSD).

I got W11 correctly now thank you. I replaced the wifi card with an intel AX211NGW because the mediatek kept dropping below 1mpbs even after updating firmware and drives. Installed the driver from Intel’s website and rebooted but I can’t find it in device manager or connect to wifi.

Do you have any suggestions for that?

The Intel AX211NGW Wi-Fi is not compatible with AMD Ryzen CPUs.

Generally, any Intel Wi-Fi card that ends in a 1 is not compatible with AMD Ryzen CPUs. However it is always worthwhile doing the research first as it may not always be the case (e.g. the BE200 Wi-Fi card doesn’t appear to be compatible with AMD systems).
