Fan is active without reason

My fan has been acting up lately. It keeps turning on and off. When it’s on, it’s very loud. This happens even when it’s cold. It’s on for 5 seconds, off for 3 seconds, on for 10 seconds, off for 7 seconds—there’s no discernible pattern. I cleaned the inside of the unit, but it didn’t help. Could a sensor be broken?

Any suggestions welcome

What BIOS version do you have installed?

Install s-tui and lm-sensors. Then $sudo s-tui you can check the temps, fan RPM and the CPU power

BIOS version is 03.07.

s-tui and lm-sensors do not show anything similar to fan rpm. Temperature is 31 °C.
