Fedora 44 KKDE eGPU Difficulties

Hi all, I’ve been trying to get my eGPU w/ a 3070 to run with my FW13 w/ 11th gen Intel but am unable to get the GPU to be detected by the OS. If I try to turn on the enclosure first, then boot the laptop, Fedora won’t boot and hangs. If I hotplug, the desktop will freeze until I unplug/turn off the enclosure. If I turn it back on/hotplug a second time I can connect to the other USB devices/NVMe on the dock but not the GPU.

Checking boltctl list I can see that I’m connected to the thunderbolt dock but the GPU never shows up if I check lspci for vga devices.

I have the latest Nvidia drivers installed following the Fedora Nvidia guide. Current GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX args are

rd.driver.blacklist=nouveau,nova_core modprobe.blacklist=nouveau,nova_core nvidia.NVregEnableGPUFirmware=0 nvidia.NVreg_OpenRmEnableUnsupportedGpus=1 nvidia-drm.modeset=1 i915.enable_guc=3 nv_peer_memory

Any help or pointers would be appreciated!
