Why does only the sage version of the fingerprint sensor have a specific color? Does framework plan on releasing a specific color version later? This feels pretty sad for the people who chose not to get a green version.
Framework has created a one color only version for a lot of products, including the touchpad (grey and purple) and the replacement stylus batterys (only grey).
There is also a gray version as well. In their deep dive video for the new components, they mention that the grey button matches with all the other colorways, and that sage is the most common FW12 color. Seems reasonable to me.
They’re obviously very not finished with this product rollout. They only have a single keyboard layout for the new keyboard and two colors for finger print readers.
Seems a bit premature for the announcement of this hardware if you ask me.
What it looks like to me, is that the sage is the proper color because it has the most market share, but every other color is grey, which does not color match well with the other laptops I feel (especially my bubble gum laptop)
Its a bit sad that everyone else does not get a color matched button.
