Hey everyone,
I bought my framework laptop 13 this year and I have noticed that the fingerprint reader is not great. It will work sometimes, but I don’t know what I am doing differently when it does and doesn’t work. I have tried deleting and rescanning the finger I normally use, but it’s the same issue each time. I would like use the windows hello face recognition feature if it is possible because it is was easier than the finger scan.

In case the solution is, “use a different finger,” I’m sad to say the problem persists. I’d rather follow a guide that helps me download the files, software, or program that helps me install the face recognition.

Windows Hello facial recognition requires a camera with a secondary IR sensor. It’s a hardware feature that the Framework laptop (and indeed most laptops) lack.
