Which Framework Laptop 13 model are you using? (AMD Ryzen™ AI 300 Series, AMD Ryzen™ 7040 Series, Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 1, 13th Gen Intel® Core™ , 12th Gen Intel® Core™, 11th Gen Intel® Core™)
AMD Ryzen 7040 Series
I bought a Framework 13 AMD 7040 Series about a year ago, and I unfortunately bought it with an 8gb RAM stick instead of a dual channel 8gb or even a 16gb RAM stick. I realized this was a problem and tried to buy a seperate RAM stick from the framework site only to see that the prices jumped significantly and no sticks are available for purchase at this time. So i went to amazon after checking the compatibility of DDR5 RAM sticks with my build. I settled on an ADATA DDR5 stick after seeing it was marked as fully compatible or something. I am running an EndeavourOS and with a standard Framework RAM stick + the ADATA one. Last night I had an issue where the laptop screen shut off after coming out of sleep, and I tried to reboot the system manually. I attempted to reset the mainboard following the guide on the site and still the same results. Basically the screen is stuck without any power being added to it, and the key board and power button are lit up. When I cut it off, it cuts back on immediately and if I continue to hold the power button it eventually shuts off. When I attempt to restart it after this the cycle continues. Is this an incompatibility with the RAM sticks or could it be something else? I have already raised a ticket, but would love any feedback that could help.
