Framework 13 Display Backlight Flicker

I have a Framework 13 - 12th gen Intel i5.
Recently, a vertical display backlight flicker has started to appear on the left side of the display. It only happens when the display is at a certain angle and when pressure is applied to the back of the top cover. It oscillates between brighter and the set brightness level in a column section of the display. It seems to be a transient issue. Has anyone else seen this problem?

I’m going to check and re-seat the display cable and check for any loose connections. Any other troubleshooting steps I should be following? Thanks.

Here’s a video https://youtube.com/shorts/K9NGCC9mLCU?feature=share. It’s hard to see, but the backlight is lighting up and back to the set brightness with a soft touch or vibration..

Last night, I took off the bezel and top cover to inspect the display connector. I tightened any screws that were in the areas of the display input board. I disconnected and reconnected to display cable connected to the mainboard. I also checked the cable, no visible damage. I checked the guides to ensure the cable was routed properly around the hinge, and that the grounding tape was applied in the proper spot.

I know that replacement display cables are available in the framework store. After having reseated the connector, I’m thinking it’s vibrations (from carrying and general usage) causing the connector to get slightly unseated, it could even be opening and closing the laptop, that is putting force or strain on the display cable, because I believe that one cable carries data and power (for both the display and backlight). This might be the cause of the odd backlight behavior.

I wonder if we could crowd-design some type of shim or tape that would keep the connector better seated and stop the connector getting disconnected (unseated) through normal use of the laptop.
