Framework 13 Pro AMD with Thunderbolt 4 external monitors

Hi everyone. Before buying my new Framework 13 Pro with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370: Can I use one or two Thunderbolt 4 monitors connected to the USB-C ports (I think the 2 next to the display) and will it work with Fedora? I am not sure about AMD + Thunderbolt combination. Or should I better go for an Intel? Thanks for any hint or experience. Best.

I’ve using the USB4 with DisplayPort Alt Mode fine with my FW13 AMD 7040 series setup. (I say USB4 because it’s not certified to use the Thunderbolt trademarks but USB4 includes the capabilities of Thunderbolt 3.) I’ve tested the Bazzite edition of Fedora that’s derived from SilverBlue. Ultimately, I would be confident that this is OK.

On the AMD vs Intel trade-off, you get more TB4 ports with the Intel setup and maybe better battery life with the Core Ultra 3, but I think the highest sustained CPU performance is with AMD.
