Hi All,
I just got my Framework 13 with Ryzen AI 5 340. I installed Arch Linux which went perfectly smoothly. Now I’m running kernel 6.14.4-arch1-1 and linux-firmware is at version 20250408.c1a774f3-1. WiFI is working, even though it wasn’t working on the Fedora 42 live system I used for initial testing.
The problem however is that over WiFI the native and global IPv6 I’m getting from a Fritz!Box router via both router advertisements and DHCPv6 isn’t applied correctly. There is a link local one but I of course can’t access native IPv6 sites with that.
I also tried just using RA or DHCP in NetworkManager, neither worked. I confirmed that other devices on the same WiFi are getting IPv6 and that the route assigned an IPv6 address to the device. When setting this global IPv6 address manually, it works and I can reach native IPv6 sites using WiFi. I also confirmed that with a USB Ethernet adapter I get the IPv6 address just fine. So I’m pretty sure the problem is with the AMD/Mediatek WiFi card. Oh and I also already set the regulatory domain correctly. Is this a known issue or even in work already?
Also otherwise this thing is absolutely amazing and I love it. I might just get a non-WiFI 7 Intel AX2xx card definitely need IPv6 more than the additional speed and manually setting it won’t work if my ISP changes the IPv6 prefix, though it does that very rarely if ever.
Thanks,
Niklas
