I am using arch linux, currently using power-profiles-daemon.
The power saving mode works great and i notice a significant slowdown compared to performance, alongside (near) quiet fans.
Performance works fine as well, though the fans get a bit loud. But not my main concern.
My concern is that balanced acts almost the same as performance, whereby even light cpu load causes my fans to blow at near max speed.
Does anyone know a good package to change the clockspeed? More so than just power saving/balanced/performance that power-profiles-daemon offers.
