Framework 16

Theres a buzzing sound that comes from around the centre of the dgpu area.

Ive checked the fans so i dont think it is a fan problem and in person it sounds pretty electrical and seperate from fan noise.
Gpu seems to work as normal however just very annoying.

That is coil whine. Some amount of it is expected. But if it is very noticeable anytime you use the GPU I would create a support ticket for Framework.

FYI, I am having a similar issue, though I haven’t isolated the sound to any particular location. It looks like others are having similar experiences, though:

> I only recently got my laptop, but on the second day I already noticed some odd noises from it, as per the title. The first is the sound of the fan rubbing against something while spinning. The sound changes depending on how fast it spins. The second is an irregular buzzing sound. This is very faint and I could only hear it when the fan wasn’t spinning. But it is hard to say if the sound is only there when the fan isn’t spinning or it is alway there but drowned out by the fan sounds. You can …

> Update on this, the sound is always present when on AC (using the FW 180 watt power supply and provided cable). It just gets louder when reading/writing data. On battery the laptop is nearly silent when idle but you can still hear the buzzing when reading or writing data (and you can tell the difference between reading and writing). In a quiet room I can hear it up to about a 2-3 feet away before it gets drowned out by other humming things in my house. I have quite sensitive hearing. I’m stil…
