Use the mesa drivers
@knipp30 , are you referring to a packaged DKMS module? I don’t know what you’re talking about because I don’t see it in the documentation at Xorg - ArchWiki , so could you please clarify? Currently, I am using the built-in amdgpu driver in the kernel and Mesa user-space drivers, which I think is also what you suggest in your post.
I am referencing this. From my understanding, even in arch, this should not be needed.
The amdgpu drivers should be packaged within the kernal already.
Installing amdgpu by yourself can (and often does) lead to issues.
It could have been confusion based on the above statement - but its not clear what you mean by stating you installed amdgpu - since that should ship with the kernel.
