I don’t plan to keep btop open for long periods of time. It’s really just process and load monitoring/management. I do appreciate the reminder, though!
Mine hits 100c on the CPU when the Windows Search Protocol Host runs, apparently that counts as “under load” for Windows. 
Windows has bad power management, it loves to use high CPU on menial tasks
It’s like daily driving your car in 1st gear.

hey! Sorry I never got back to you, this thread popped off so well I had to shut down my notifications I don’t actually remember to be honest, but the single-core temperatures were absolutely the issue, as the “low utilization” was just total. I believe there was a single core that was 100% utilized.
