Framework Desktop Failing to Load GPU Drivers

Any OS (Windows 11, Fedora, Ubuntu, OpenSUSE)

Framework Desktop (64GB model, aka 395 & 8060s) mainboard only. Case was self provided. 500W GaN power supply.

Hi All, I have a Framework Desktop that I bought in October. Up until now, it has been performing beautifully. However, as of yesterday, the system fails to boot into any operating system that has a functioning graphics card driver. It has been running Windows, and I am able to boot windows as long as it is in safe mode or with the GPU drivers removed (via Display Driver Uninstaller). Reinstalling brings the issue back.

Several different live Linux images (fedora 44, Ubuntu 26.04, Bazzite, and OpenSUSE) that load the Mesa drivers fail to boot as well (just get stuck on the boot logo). They only boot to desktop if “nomodeset” is enabled, effectively disabling the graphics driver.

I’ve already put a support ticket in as I suspect hardware failure, but if anyone has any suggestions to diagnose more thoroughly, it would be appreciated!
