Framework Keyboard: Magnetic stand and knob

I’m liking the look of the framework keyboard announced at Next Gen. The replaceable battery really stands out for product longevity. It’s not entirely clear yet, but it also sounded like it could pair to multiple wireless fabs.

Since the keyboard is still in development, here’s a few ideas.

  1. Add some magnetic attachment points on the bottom. This could allow creators to make different stands for various tilts, height adjustments, attachable wrist rests, and probably more things I’m not thinking of. My inspiration for this is the Microsoft Sculpt ergonomic keyboard, one of my favorites.
  2. The other idea is adding a knob to the keyboard. My inspiration here is the Keychron K15 Max. I’ve been surprised how much I’ve loved having a knob. I primarily use it for volume, but it can be remapped for all kinds of things.

Now that I think of it, a knob board could be a cool accessory for creative professionals.
