I would kill for an oled on the framework 13, touchscreen or not. sucks that there’s no display that works, and from my understanding the HP Spectre x360 one straight up doesn’t work. Framework! release an oled and my life is yours!
What about one of these OLED panels used by the Dell XPS 13 Plus 9320?

They seem to be 40pin eDP, and, even though they’re 16:10, the active area measurements seem to just about fit width-wise (4mm wider which shouldn’t cause a problem with mayyybe a bit of modification to the lid), while being only about 10mm shorter than the framework panel. And it seems to have a touchscreen. Found one on ebay for about $280 here.
I definitely recommend against just pluging that one in, oleds tend to have a different pinout and from experience do cause some major headaches if you just plug them into an lcd cable.
Edit: comparing the laptops width wise it would be a pretty good fit but the loss in height is pretty brutal but this is from a physical fit one of the more promising options I have seen so far.
I mean, no datasheets exist publically. Tough to verify per-pin functions, but if that was obtained…..
Just posting some useful information here in case anyone really wants to go down the rabbit hole of OLED: please note that there is currently no 3:2 OLED panel in the market (at least not for the size and resolution you want). However, Byran Huang has successfully built a laptop from the ground up to utilise a 4k 16:10 13.3” OLED panel, so indeed there is at least one successful case someone can build from.
He has not posted the datasheet for the panel he used, but you can glean the pinout / info from the motherboard/display driver as he has posted all his schematics on GitHub. You will need an intermediary PCB for voltage conversion, and whichever panel you use will likely be too big / out of proportion from the chassis of the FW13. The good news is that you can actually use the common 20455 connector.
Definitely encourage anyone reading this to give it a try if they have the time!
Good thing oleds are so thin we have a ton of space to put a thin pcb behind it. There are also oled panels that come with the cirquitry built in (presumably so manufacturers would not have to redesign their mainboards to offer a mid-cycle oled option, of course having that stuff be part of the mainboard is more efficient).
Given how much risk/cost/effort this is going to be I am still waiting for a more fitting panel (size, ~2.5k, >=90Hz) before I try something again.
