I’ve had my new FW16 (ai 350, rtx 5070, windows 11 25h2) for about a week now and everything has been great until today when I turned it on and my external display didn’t show anything. Id been running it off of the rear usbc port with a USBC to HDMI cable.
After some quick troubleshooting I’ve determined:
- It’s not a cable issue (I connected to one of the side USBC ports and my display started working immediately)
- The rear port is not just failing to output display: I tried a USBC flash drive and my power adapter and neither worked
I tried reinstalling my graphics drives and reinstalling the framework driver bundle as well as sever reboots with no luck.
Anyone have any idea what might be wrong/what I should try? Thanks!

Did you get a response to this? I eventually got my 5070 despite tracking saying it’s still in circulation. It worked fine for a week, and now won’t output video from the rear port.
Further to this I’ve tried driver reinstall, replacing the gpu interposer with the one that came with my 7700. New cables etc. Nothing. I have noticed that it won’t charge via that port now either. So it looks to be completely dead, but the GPU seems to be working fine via the motherboard usb-c ports.
I guess I forgot to post an update, but the issue randomly resolved itself. After like ~2 days of not working I’ve been back to normal with no issues. Unfortunately I have no idea what caused the issue or fixed the issue so I’m not able to offer any advice
