FW13 AMD random reboots

My FW 13 AMD 7040 32Gb Ram randomly restarts. I run Windows 11 because i mostly use it for university, but even there it crashes/ restarts randomly. The crashes occur while using CAD-software, or light gaming (Age of Empires 2). Especially the gaming crashes confuse me, because fps are stable immediatly before the crash, and the fans aren´t spinning full power.
Anybody got some tricks on how to approach this topic?

Sry for my english, native german here.

Try removing a RAM module and try with one module only.
Usually, from experience, when crashing like that, it is the RAM.

you can run Memtest86 to rule out memory issues.
Also try re-seating the modules, it is more likely for poor seatment to affect signal rather than chips.

I’ve been experiencing this for a while with lots of video decoding (Google Meet) on Linux. It seems like anything with a lot GPU access will eventually cause it to restart. I don’t get any signs of a kernel panic, so I’m pretty sure it’s a hardware issue.

The latest beta firmware update mentions “Fixed ALS sensor communication failures”, and on the LVFS site mentions “Fix issue with invalid critical temperature _CRT in ACPI”, so I’m giving it a go to see if it fixes that.

how are temps? I have had thermal paste squish out on my fw13 amd
try reseating your battery cable as well as both sides of the touchpad cable

Hey guys, sadly i didnt get to taking the system apart. But after installing Linux i managed to redproduce a crash, in the error file linked to an temp issue. How can i track my temps reliably?

Update: I just finished my trials regarding Ram/Ram-slots. As long as i use a single stick there arent any issues. But with both, the system crashes. I tried both slots with both sticks each and everything worked fine.
Any recommendations?

Contact support, it may need a mainboard replacement.

Agreed on that. Unless you have another pair of RAM sticks available to test out with, contact support.

I am already in contact with support, but tbh i feel like they make me jump through hoops for nothing. It really feels like everytime somebody new gets my ticket and doesnt read beforehand what already has been done. Anybody got experience on how many mails/steps it takes, till they send a new mainboard?
I´m on step memtest86
