FW13 Intel Core 1, firmware update won't complete "pd1"

Hello!

This morning I attempted to upgrade my firmware to the latest version, which seemed to work fine overall, except that the “pd1” task failed. Atfer the laptop restarted, I was given a screen telling me that I need to move my power adatper to the other side. I did this, and I was shown another fw update screen with pd1 listed… and then nothing. It just sat there for 10 or so minutes until I gave up and tried to restart.

I notice that when the rest of the update was happening, there was an icon on the top right next to the battery icon showing AC power, but on this second part of the update that icon does not exist.

I can’t seem to get past this, and I’m not actually sure where to begin troubleshooting it. I’d appreciate some guidance.

or the laptop can make a fool of me and work fine on my next attempt lol.

Apparently, it really didn’t like that I was using one cable for display and power, even though that worked fine on the previous attempt. Switching to a regular power cable seemed to let it go through fine.
