My batch 1 machine turned up last week and I managed to have a play with it at the weekend.
The build quality is very good and it feels sturdy in hand. It certainly feels safer to pick up with one hand than my Framework 16 which is so big that it feels like it may flex when picked up.
I opted for a pre-built Ubuntu system and it seems fine out of the box. The only niggle I’ve found so far is that trackpad refuses to be set to traditional scrolling instead of natural via the UI.
I got a bit of work to do today to get it ready for daily use.

Nope.. i started a support ticket with Framework to find out more about that the equipment is waiting for
I am not sure if FW can do anything here. That said, they got released (Import clearance) just now and I am sure we will get it tomorrow!

I just checked, and see that the tracking for me also shows that it got released and should be delivered tomorrow. But to say that I am sure we will get it seems hubris because the package delivery gods have many ways to annoy us mortals…

I am on the X7 358H seeing idle CPU temps of 44°. Seems a little warm. Using it on my lap its a bit uncomfortable. Fedora 44, load-avg of 0.55, 0.69, 0.70
Could you file a support ticket regarding the cable seating and reference this thread? I’d like the team to take a look. @whalesalad and @Sikh as well if you also needed to reset the cables. You can mention I asked you to make the ticket, but I’ll be keeping an eye out for the tickets to forward to the team.

Done, sadly I was too excited by the delivery to think of taking photos (or starting a Youtube channel as some folks seem to be doing) but I’ve included as much detail as I can recall. Hope it helps.

Yes, I received mine too! 
Alas, the box included the wrong keyboard layout, clear ANSI instead of blank ANSI. I’ve created a support issue. (And still wonder if blank and clear should be considered keyboard layouts. But I guess they are similar to zero being a number, white and black being colors, bald being a hairstyle, etc. 
)
After installation the wireless networking was unusably slow. Loading the Google home page was just about possible with a couple of retries. Even though the cable routing matched the pictures in the installation guide perfectly, I opened up the machine again, reseated the antenna connector and checked the cable routing twice. That did not solve the issue.
However, the issue seems to have been resolved now, I expect due to a kernel upgrade. After playing with the machine for a while using the Ethernet adapter, I found that the wireless connection started to work properly. Subsequently the problem returned after an OS install and was solved again after installing the software updates. That makes me think that there is some kernel upgrade necessary after using the Fedora Silverblue 44 boot media to make the wireless adapter work properly.
Overall I’m very happy with the laptop, it feels and looks great! I’m now copying over my /home and wil start using it as my primary machine.

Which OS’s have you tried / are you running now?
For me, with both Ubuntu 26.04 live boot and CachyOS 062026 live boot / install as well as Arch 082026 installer all just connected flawlessly to my Wifi
I believe all of them have kernel 7 or higher

I just installed Fedora Silverblue 44 twice. Quickly the first time, just so I could try my new laptop. Then carefully, with a LVM setup that leaves space for VM disks and backups of old machines.
The installation media of Fedora Silverblue 44 come with 6.19.10-300.fc44.x86_64, after updating I’m now running 7.1.5-201.fc44.x86_64.
So it could very well be that 6.19 was too old and the Framework’s advice to run a recent kernel is actually worth following… 
I have received mine as well and I had the exact same issue - I ordered a blank ANSI and it said ‘blank ANSI’ on the box but there was a clear ANSI keyboard inside. I have contacted support.
On a silver chassis it might look good but since I ordered everything in black and translucent black it looks kind of odd now especially with the keyboard mechanism underneath being white…
Imagine if there was a keyboard module with black mechanism underneath and translucent black key caps - I would want that.
Yes, I received the Input Cover with clear keys in a box labeled as blank too.
I ordered the graphite bezel, and would think having just black keys makes the laptop looking nicely minimal. Now I’m distracted by the key mechanism.
I didn’t hear back on my support ticket yet, but I imagine that they got a bit of a queue of issues, having just send out the first batch.

Fellow Batch-1ers, I have a request/question about the Chassis.
I unpacked mine today and noticed strange smudges on the front (2 large ones) and the rear (3 in total) of the Chassis. Assuming it was something that occurred during the packing of the DIY unit, I tried wiping it gently with Microfibre cloth. It didn’t go away. I followed it up with water to no avail. Before trying mild soap, I want to ask if anyone else has the same? I attached two pictures (it was hard to capture it just right) for reference (one of which is a closeup). Didn’t want to inundate support just yet and wanted to check if this just needs some elbow grease
