FedEx finally delivered my laptop this morning. I only got notified about it over 6 hours late.
Now, if only I knew to whom, or where, or whether they are just lying to me and stole the package, they seem to have no qualms about faking signatures which already is a crime.

Ha, it’s fine - language changes all the time, and I’m fascinated by it. We had badmeaninggood when I was growing up.
I would not worry about it - presumably the courier’s insurance will cover it if it does not get to you. I would expect signature faking to be rare - likely a rogue employee rather than policy.
I just got my shipping email! Will update when it arrives.

Battery is pretty great, I’m at 34% and just about done with my workday.

Screen: great, first display that I can actually use without setting it to 100% brightness
Keyboard: I’ve missed my framework keyboard a lot after selling my first system.
Touchpad: haptics pretty good, sturdiness not so good, lots of central flex. Overall still way better than the old one which was one of the primary reasons I sold My first framework. Sensitivity when scrolling on some apps appears to be higher than others. Cosmic settings and Zen feel fine but then scrolling in slack is turbo. Seems like a Linux/app thing to me and not hardware.
Hinges: wobble city, I don’t remember my last one having so much wobble, however it was first gen hinges so it would just open more when I set it down, I’m guessing it’s because these are stiffer hinges.
Received today via FedEx, 7 days after shipping from Taiwan, with a 4 day Clearance Delay in Indianapolis. My config is X7 358H and 64 GB RAM and Gen 5 1TB SSD, black case and grey keyboard.
Received mine today and got Fedora 44 KDE installed and it’s running great. Very impressed and much nicer than the Framework 13 original I had. This is a keeper.

Sadly I’m quite disappointed with the new speakers, might be because my laptop is elevated most of the time, but I just had a fuller/more room filling experience with the old speakers than with the new ones.

I specifically like the one titled Gracefu (kinda dumb name, I renamed it in easy effects). If you follow there instructions it install three to pick from, but the other two are a little too low.
