Ok cool, that is my case. I just got my shipment information this morning with it set to arrive from Taiwan to the US in 1 day (9/24) according to aftership? That’s crazy fast if so. FedEx site says 9/25.

It’s here! Arrived yesterday morning, but I didn’t get home until near midnight. I immediately updated it from the pre-installed Ubuntu 24.04 to 26.04.1. No problems yet. It somehow feels a bit heavier than my old FW13 (haven’t put them on a scale yet), but also more solid; basically no body flex at all, and far less screen flex. (My FW13 started as an 11th gen but it has the CNC top cover upgrade.) The new screen is beautiful.
I’m giving the trackpad a try. I usually hate them, even on Macs. This one is better than most, but it’s still a trackpad; I expect to use a mouse most of the time.
I have seen shipments from overseas get delayed for multiple days by custom. But this one breezed right through. Less than 48 hours from Taiwan to here.

Mine was delivered a few hours ago, I had a housemate bring it in. Can’t wait to assemble it when I get home!
Going from when Fedex picked up the package in Taiwan to when it was delivered today in the US, looks like it was in transit for just over a day at something like 32 hours. Pretty darn fast, shipped via “FedEx International Priority DirectDistribution” which has a nominal transit time of 1-4 business days depending on origin and destination.

Mine left CDG to cross the channel a few hours ago, I’m now paranoid its going to arrive a day earlier than the delivery date (25th) when I’m visiting the office for the first time in 18 months.
So fingers crossed FedEx don’t attempt delivery tomorrow/just ditch it on my driveway (like they did with my mouser parcel not long ago \>.\<).

All set up, typing this on it right now! Got both Mint and Bazzite installed.
Bazzite just worked right out of the box but Mint had some issues. The WiFi wasn’t recognized, some if not all off the function keys such as the brightness setting didn’t work, and the UI was really tiny. After upgrading to the 7.0 kernel in the update manager all these issues went away.
For anyone else installing Mint, I would recommend using one of the HWE ISOs that come with a newer Linux kernel rather than the main stable release which ships with kernel 6.14.

There is one issue have been having. With the AMD 370, the laptop will wake from sleep. This seems to be a reported issue but I haven’t dug into it yet. This is on Linux Mint with the 7 kernel.
I can report back a fix for those interested if any one would like.

Got my DIY laptop today! I installed Ubuntu (had to update the BIOS date/time so it could install). I’m new to Linux, so I may bounce around to Bazzite or Fedora. Speakers are meh, but overall very happy with the build quality.

Got mine on Wednesday Morning.
According to FedEx, they picked it up in Taiwan Monday at 10 am CEST and it was delivered in Germany on Wednesday at 8:45 am CEST. Insane shipping time. Even domestic parcels take longer sometime.
Was busy at work, so I assembled it after I returned home. Everything went smoothly. Memorytraining was fast and memtest86 passed fine.
So far, I’m impressed with the quality improvement compared to my batch1 fw16. Didn’t have time to choose and install a first distro yet though. But using a Fedora 44 Live USB, everything seemed to work fine so far.
